Repair Affair is part of a national nonprofit movement called Neighborhood Works Week. Volunteers make home repairs for low-income elderly or disabled homeowners in the Louisville area. Beargrass has taken part in the event for many years, recently in conjunction with St. Matthews Area Ministries. Teams from many churches, businesses, and organizations gather downtown for an outdoor breakfast before beginning work.  Two or three Beargrass volunteers scout out the available projects in advance and usually choose two they think our BCC Team can complete.  The work may include painting, minor repairs, installing wheelchair ramps or handrails, yard work, roof repair and general home maintenance.

When: Repair Affair is sponsored every year on the second Saturday in June by New Directions Housing Corporation.
