Dr. Flowers has served as the Senior Minister at Beargrass since 2021 after serving on the staff of Disciples congregations for more than twenty years. Susan oversees pastoral care at Beargrass, including hospital visits and many other forms of support for the congregation. She also supports adult education offerings at the church.
Rob leads an exceptional youth ministry program and works with young adults.
Erin was called to serve Beargrass as our Minister for Children and Communications in January of 2026.
Daniel Spurlock directs the music program at Beargrass including the Beargrass Choir. He is a highly regarded director in Louisville who trained at Julliard.
John Wilhoit leads the Praise Team at the 9 am contemporary worship service. He selects music, directs the band and singers and plays numerous instruments including electric bass, mandolin and ukulele.

Patricia is the alto section leader for the Beargrass Choir.
Dodi Hance is the ARK Wing Director (Always Reaching Kids). Dodi has been with Beargrass in this capacity for over 20 years!
Shelly Grant joined the team in April 2024. Shelly holds an Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and over 17 years of non-profit accounting experience. She works with the Finance Team to keep the Church’s finances in tip top shape.
Marikeith Mercke is the membership secretary and receptionist for Beargrass.
Melissa Head joined the Beargrass staff as Ministry Operations Coordinator in late November 2025 in a part-time role that fits this season of her life.
